After the question is popped and the "she said yes" news is shared, the best way to celebrate is with engagement photos! These photos are always so much fun and it's a great way to create lasting memories with the one you love and have decided to spend forever with. In this blog, I will share with you a few fun ways that you can use your engagement photos over the course of months leading up to your wedding day.
Social Media Announcement
Of course the first thing every couple wants to do after getting engaged is shout it from the mountain tops and let everyone know its official. Engagement photos are always a great way to share the news on all social media outlets. With my couples, I alway create a blog of their engagement photos complete with a narrative of their love story and highlights from their proposal. This makes for a fun twist in comparison to traditional announcements.
Save-the-Dates
On average, most couples send out save-the-dates 6 to 8 months before their wedding. Using engagement photos for your save-the-dates always adds a more personalized and contemporary element to these traditional announcements.
Guestbook
Knowing who attended your special day and what heartfelt words they leave in your guestbook, are one of the most cherished items you will look back on from your wedding day. Why not use your engagement photos to illustrate this book? That way your guest get to flip through them as they sign it, and when you look back on it, it will double as a photo album of those memories.
Wedding Favors & Decor
What better way to personalize small details to your wedding than with engagement photos. You could incorporate them into a centerpiece design, as table markers, or simply scatter them about. Some couples use them as favors. They have them printed on matchbooks, wine labels, coffee cups, ornaments, magnets, coasters - just to name a few. The possibilities are truly endless!
Thank You Cards
Another great way to use engagement photos is to create thank you cards that you can use after your wedding or for shower gifts. There is also a way to have your photos turned into postage stamps if you wanted to personalize your envelopes as well!
Print and Display
The best, most obvious thing to use engagement photos for is to simply have them printed and displayed within your home. They also make great gifts for family members and are an easy crowd-pleaser when it comes to parents and grandparents. They have loved displaying each milestone since you were born, so they naturally would love to display these as well!
