Chase and Kelsey met in 2014 at the Sweet Potato festival but have known each other since Little Learners Pre-K and all through middle and high school. Their first date was to Buffalo Wild Wings and to a movie to see Annabelle. Afterwards, they rode backroads and listened to music.
When it came time for Chase to propose, Kelsey says she had no idea it was going to happen! She thought it was dinner with her family at Shugs in Hartsville. While getting ready, her aunt called and asked them to stop by to pick up a gift for the house. When they got to her place, she heard music playing from the backyard. As they got close she said she noticed it was her and Chase’s song. She says she still did not catch on, thinking that it was just a coincidence. They walked through the backyard and as she noticed the decorations, it all clicked. Chase led her to an altar he had set up and decorated beautifully and got down on one knee. Kelsey says it is still so surreal to even think about- truly a fairy tale of my dreams. Afterwards, they ended up going to Shugs where Kelsey and Chase’s family and friends were there waiting to surprise her and congratulate them!
When asked what they love most about each other, Kelsey says that she loves that he keeps her on her toes and she never knows what to expect, in the best way possible. She loves his goofiness and how handsome, charming, and selfless he is. Chase is the most determined person she knows and is hard working. He is talented at anything he puts his mind to and he is so easy to love and she says she is so blessed that he loves her. Chase says he loves the way Kelsey loves him. He loves how they can always be themselves around each other. He loves how she never makes a day boring and how she is just as adventurous as he is. Kelsey is always there for him no matter what.
Together, they love the outdoors, whether it's riding the golf cart, side by sides, or a day on the lake and spending time with our fur baby, Piper, who they say is usually tagging along with them. They also do not mind the occasional lazy day in doors all together either.
Chase and Kelsey, it was such an honor to be able to take your engagement pictures, and I am excited to capture all your memories! Your MBL family congratulates you on your engagement!
