Kelsie and Carson have known each other since their middle school days, but they can't quite remember the exact moment they met. They started talking to each other when Carson responded to a Snapchat story Kelsie posted one summer while she was home from college. They went on a double date with Kelsie's cousin and her now-husband, who is also friends with Carson. They met at a Mexican restaurant in Johnsonville, and Carson picked Kelsie up from her house.
When it was time for Carson to propose, they both shopped around for about a year looking for the perfect ring. They had strong opinions and worked through decisions together. They went to a jewelry store in Georgetown to look again, but Kelsie didn't see anything that stood out. Then, they pulled out a setting from the back that they didn't think Kelsie would like, but it turned out to be the one she loved. Carson wanted to keep looking, but Kelsie told him that was the setting she wanted. Later, Kelsie found out that Carson had gone a couple of weeks before and designed the setting with the jeweler, and they were just there to pick out a center stone. Sometime after, they were riding side by sides on family property, which is Kelsie's favorite place in the world. They were sitting on a bench watching the water when he asked her, "So, this is your favorite place in the world?" She answered, "Yes," and he got down on one knee and said, "Then I couldn't think of a better place to ask you to marry me." Kelsie was absolutely shocked and couldn't believe how much effort he had put into making it a surprise.
They love how thoughtful and kind they are to each other. Kelsie says Carson is smart and outspoken and keeps her laughing. He does little things that mean a lot to her. They enjoy doing outdoor activities together, such as hunting, tending to their bees, and gardening. Kelsie and Carson, it is an honor to be able to capture your memories, congratulations on your engagement from your MBL family!
