When it came time for the proposal, Alex realized Chesnie was the one a year or so into dating, his family on his mom’s side wanted to be part of the proposal. He came up with the idea of Pictionary by drawing a ring, pulling it out and proposing (despite how calm he said he was in the video, he said he had a lot of practice and just had to get the words out of his mouth lol) but when she said yes through her tears, Alex says he was the happiest man in the world on that day.

What they love most about each other is how passionate, independent, smart and driven she is. She is unafraid to call him or others out. She is full of energy and life where almost every day is an adventure with her. Chesnie says she loves Alex for his kindness, his caring and how he is brave enough to be himself and genuine. She loves how positive in life he can be and how he wants to see the best in everything and everyone. She loves him for his mind and how he always wants to ask the big questions. Chesnie also loves how devoted he is to whatever he puts his mind to whether it is with her, his job and especially his devotion to the Lord God Almighty
