Adam and Meranda met in high school while attending South Florence High. Adam's sister was Meranda’s Art teacher and she introduced them officially. During her sophomore year, they had a class together and ended up sitting beside each other. They were both in relationships at the time but both ended that Summer, and Meranda reached out and told Adam happy birthday. They started dating officially on December 2nd, 2016, and were not exactly sure where their “first date” was (probably Taco Bell they think) and the rest was history!
When it came time for Adam to propose he came up with the perfect plan with help from his family and friends. Adam’s sister reached out to Meranda about a month before the proposal asking her to take pictures of his sister and her family for her upcoming graduation from Florida State. She wanted to have the pictures done on the Francis Marion University campus because she was teaching a few classes there after graduation. Fast forward to the week of the proposal and some of their friends asked them if we wanted to go to dinner at the Italian restaurant, Il Buongustaio on the same day she was planning to take pictures for Adam's sister. Pictures were scheduled for 4:00 pm and dinner reservations were planned for 5:30 pm. This is of course what everyone told Meranda, and she believed the entire week/month that she was taking pictures at 4:00 pm for Adam's sister and going to dinner reservations at 5:30 pm! On the day of the proposal, Meranda told Adam to come pick her up from FMU after she finished taking pictures for his sister so they could go to dinner. The time for pictures came, and she rode to FMU with Adam's sister for her family photos. On the way there, it started thunder storming, and she took pictures of their family for about 30 minutes in the rain. It was time for Adam to come pick her up for dinner, so she did not think anything unusual was happening when he started walking toward them from the parking lot. The sun came out and as Adam walked up to them, his sister asked to take their picture because we were dressed nicely for dinner. They walked toward a clock statue on campus, took about three pictures, and Adam proposed! Meranda said she was shocked! Adam also planned the sweetest engagement party with all their friends and family right after. Meranda said it was the best day!
When asked what they love about each other Meranda says she loves Adam's kindness, his loyalty to those he loves, and how well he gets her. Adam says he loves her ambition, how caring she is, and how she makes him laugh in a way no one else can. Together, you can find them enjoying food, traveling, going to bookstores, and spending time with their Labradoodle, Honey. Adam and Meranda, it was so wonderful getting to meet you and learning your love story! It is an honor to be able to capture your memories! Congratulations on your engagement!
